I know that on social media, and publicly I guess, we’re supposed to be all about positivity. But aren’t there days when you just want to scream?
Yeah yeah yeah. It’s October – especially the tail end of October – when everyone has “scary” on their minds.
I scroll. We all do. If you say you don’t, you’re a liar. I do it first thing in the morning. But I have a routine.
Yes, easier said than done. And yes, that’s a life long skill. I’m not saying become a seamstress. I’m saying learn the basics.

Recently I found myself in Brooklyn for a couple of days.
In a strange way, the trip home marked the end of summer for me. It’s the last trip I get to go on.
There is nothing like a morning coffee overlooking a serene lake in the summer.
After so much walking, not only did my feet hurt *I had taken in my boots to get repaired and the guy took out and threw out my gel insoles and I didn’t notice until we were already hiking! Ugh. I was rather – read ‘very’ – upset* but I also was so so very tired. I slept much better, though the vino did screw it up a touch. And I woke up more rested, a little puffy, and full of sarcasm.
