Downtown San Diego. What can I say, it’s a great downtown like most great downtowns. Lots of restaurants, cool architecture, and plenty of people.
But honestly, after spending a few days in small and sleepy beach towns, by the water, and around few (comparatively) people…I was not enjoying it as much as if I had come from Toronto straight there.
It was the moment I realized that I love nature over cities, quiet over bustle, and peace over business.
But there was just enough time to see and enjoy, and not enough time to ruminate, before jumping on the plane home.
I missed my girl, and considering my growing physical discomfort from food poisoning, wanted to be home. Though I have to tell you, I was not looking forward to heading back to snow and negative degrees weather. It was rough. I could easily live by the beach in the warmth forever.

March 18, 2019Oh no! Sorry to hear you got food poisoning, that sucks! Looks like a beautiful place though. Although I too would prefer nature over a city.

March 19, 2019Thank Julia. Yeah, surprisingly it took a long time to recover from. Yeah, it’s much more soothing and restful for the soul.
