When I took these pictures I had already been biking for two hours, so pardon the wrinkled shorts. What’s worse is that since it’s so hot and humid, the entire backside of my shorts was soaked with sweat. Gross, I know. Sorry. That’s why you aren’t seeing any pics of this top from behind. But the tank has this cool crochet back and that kept my back nice and airy. So bonus for bikers!
As I entered the house, my mom looked at me and said, “Cool! Where did you get that top?” Usually when she says that it means she wants one. So yeah, my mom might be sporting this top ’round the neighborhood soon.
And that means that at some point we will be wearing the same thing at the same time. *Don’t worry I’ll take a picture of that if it happens!* What I wish I could convey to you in photos is how detailed and intricate this top is. It’s one of those pieces that you happen upon once in a while and then treasure for years to come.
Pretty much most of the Ever+Mi Crush selection is kind of like this. Uh-oh. But yay!
p.s. a few days left to enter my pretty rad giveaway.

This top immediately drew me because of it’s light free flowing cut, and darker design. It’s just one of many unique items that each have a voice of their own.
Believe me, I never thought that I’d be wearing something that looks like pajama pants outside the house. But this latest pajama pants/shorts trend is the perfect thing for a really hot and humid day in Toronto. And I think the key is to dress them up but still keep it all laid back. At least that’s what I tell myself as I leave the house in what is basically silk boxers.
Also side note: fresh cut grass is irresistible for dogs to roll around in.

We have to keep a close eye on our coffee cups in this house.
Through a recent comment, I had a great conversation with a reader named Dawn about some issues she brought up in her post, and issues I brought up in my first post. We were discussing the issue of privacy and our choices regarding that. Namely, posting our child’s pictures on the net and sharing intimate details of our lives. I don’t post full face shots of my girl. It’s my choice to maintain a level of her privacy. *Please don’t assume that this in any way takes away or belittles your choice to post your child’s pictures*
Dawn also brought up the issue of whether you can have a real connection if you don’t share everything. I responded with this:
“I try to be as open
as I feel comfortable – which isn’t everything – while guarding her
privacy. Also, you can still make connections. I don’t tell the friend
I have coffee with everything about my life, but that doesn’t mean the
connection is any less genuine. I don’t tell co-workers everything and
again, they are real connections. So no, I don’t think you have to
share everything to have a connection as long as you’re genuine in what
you do share.“
I just wanted to bring you in on this conversation and say that while you may not know the intimate details of my life, what I do say to you and what I do share is 100% me and sincere.
That’s the best I can offer. Hopefully, that’s enough.
Now onto the things I’m thinking: What if we armed whales? How cool would that be?
