About ten minutes outside Orillia proper is Scout Valley Loop trail. It’s an easy trail, and if you do the outside loop totals about 6km, but it’s a lovely walk in the woods that hides the fact you’re surrounded by city and highway.
Our only full Orillia day started with a 40 minute walk to the Farmer’s market, followed by a meander down the main street with a fancy stop for a latte/tea and a scone at Apple Annie’s.
Our Mother/Daughter trip out of town started with a drive through the Ontario swamps – you know, the ones that grow all our food.
After you’ve signed your will and power of attorney, I don’t know who couldn’t use a beach walk palette cleanser.
Often referred to as the Niagara of the north, this one is truly gorgeous.
Summer isn’t summer until I’ve sat in these chairs, looked at this view, and swam out to make sure the rock that’s been there for twenty years is still there.
The town of Bracebridge initially built up around these waterfalls.
Waiting on a client for a location scout/walk through, I treated myself to an almond milk latte.
One thing about Ontario is that the second you get out of the city and the countryside opens up, you realize that we live in a truly beautiful province.
This was our anniversary trip away.
