The morning started off with a visit to the locks.
It was supposed to be a rainy day. A day of thunderstorms. And indeed it did rain.
That first full day.
After an early start, a couple of stops, and lots of heat, we arrived.
Pandemic. Canada’s last ice sheet collapses. Beirut. It goes on.
Just running around doing errands…
The mud after a thunderstorm and a white dress, what could go wrong? Well, nothing. Especially if you consider the stains on a dress a sign of a pond enjoyed, a laugh had, and a hug earned.

When my Mama purged her yarn and texted me, “Do you want it?” I replied with a resounding, “Yes!”
