Style is Cheap

It is! It really is! Style is super cheap – Fashion is expensive. Fashion is the trend, fashion is literally “a popular trend.” It’s what happens every season. It’s what changes every season. Style is what you want to say, how you want to dress and express. That’s cheap. How is it cheap, you ask? Because it means wearing the things you love year after year, even if they’re out of season. It means expressing who you are, and that doesn’t cost a lot of money. It means knowing what you like so that you don’t get drawn into trends. It means knowing how you dress so that when you see that gem, you know it’s perfect. It means not caring that the latest trends aren’t in your closet. it means buying clearance and at thrift. Style is cheap.

My style here? The skirt was a ‘last one’ at Anthropologie for $20CAD two years ago. The top was $7 in a thrift shop.
