Toronto was rocked this past week by a man in a van running down pedestrians. It brought out some great heroes in our city. The families will never be the same. And you know what, hopefully will some other people be changed. Hopefully some of us will take this as a chance to appreciate our families and the love we have right now. It fades, this appreciation for the ones we love being safe and healthy. We take it for granted. We don’t appreciate it until it’s gone, or it’s taken away from someone else – like the ones who will be mourning for a long while yet.
But we can do our best to honor the memory of the lives lost- the lives we won’t ever know- by holding tight the ones we do know, by loving them, by being grateful, and by telling them of our love. So this weekend, spotlight the ones you love and tell them why they’re awesome.

May 5, 2018Jo I appreciate your point of view. It is so easy to take people for granted. Thanks for the reminder. I appreciate your presence on the web. You have become a web friend who I look forward to seeing and reading your posts.
