The morning started off with a visit to the locks.

There’s 47 locks connecting what was Upper Canada to Lower Canada in order to have a secure route that could not be stopped by the US. Now they’re used as a passage for recreational boats, but it’s none-the-less very cool to watch the boats go through the levels.

A quick coffee refresh in town with a visit to an art gallery alley….

…was followed by a visit to the restored Fort Henry. And with Covid, there were many rooms closed and no shows of drills to watch. But we did climb the ramparts and pretend we were searching for the enemy and firing the cannons and artillery at them. Don’t want to give away the ending, but we won.

And after forcing her to shower, she decided to steal my dress for our evening constitutional.
