Back from Vegas and straight into Canadian ‘Spring.’  I put quotations around it because well, it’s not really Spring when it’s this cold.  Also, after twelve years and multiple repairs my parka finally gave up the ghost. So I was forced to buy a new one. I say ‘forced’ because boots, parkas, and all other cold weather accessories are not very pleasurable for me to buy for the simple reason that I resent having to own them. More importantly, I hate that I have to spend a lot of money on a Winter coat. But I do. I need a good one, a warm one, and one that will last me another twelve years at least.

At least the bonus of my old jacket falling apart ‘at the end’ of Winter (is it really though when snow is predicted??) is that I can get something on a huge discount. And I went with this deliciously warm red North Face jacket. It’s so cozy, I almost like having to wear it…..I say almost….I still hate Winter.
