Family road trip to Ottawa means lots of stops, vomiting on the side of the road, and peeing.
When a big, big bug finds its way onto your patio doors, you grab your macro lens ASAP.
On my last walk from the Lake to my Babcia’s I gathered some wildflowers. Nothing that can’t be found in Canada, in fact they are all there already. But these were gathered from Koczala.
Morning gave us some cool relief, and we came to the stairs that let you go down into the gorge.
This was our anniversary trip. So of course, one of the evenings we got a little gussied up and headed into town for some shopping, a lovely dinner, and an evening walk.
Morning gorge hike. This meant that as always we didn’t take the official trail, but headed in, saw some great sites, some people tubing the rapids, and then had to climb out and hop a fence to get back on the trail.
Destination: Elora. First Stop: The Quarry.
I’ve had my eye on a Gaala dress for a while. An ethical sustainable brand that makes timeless clothing. They had a sale, and I ordered a dress from that sale to be shipped to my Babcia in Poland. The box arrived damaged, but the inside dress was safe. I thought all was well until I arrived there and tried the dress on.
Going away is great, but coming back is equally wonderful.
Before leaving Poland for good, we stop by the memorial to the Child Soldiers who perished in WWII.
