It is sunny. It is warm. Oh my gosh, I never thought the day would come. It had gotten to that point where I was convinced that the cold, gray weather was here forever.  You know that feeling…we have it right at the tail end of a cold when you’re sure that this is how you’re going to feel for the rest of your life until the next morning you don’t.  Now there is sunshine and heat and I can not wait for more. It’s that time where you need a sweater or jacket in the mornings and evenings but mid day you can be gloriously carefree. Just get me to the beach and life will be complete.

But just ’cause it’s warm doesn’t mean the velvet is going away. Something about velvet in a soft setting sun feels so incredibly indulgent. It’ll be perfect once the new patio set is up and the hammock is ready to go. Just pass me some lemon water and let me go.  Also, sorry about the boots – but really, not sorry – you’re going to see them a lot this summer. Now onto the weekend, with it’s bbqs and outdoor living. Ugh. It’s incredible how much warm, sunny weather can influence your mood.  Soak it up. All of it.
