After a stop at the Lavender Farm and a walk around their delightful fields…

…which is a must see. You’re greeted by the loudest and friendliest dog, and easily make friends as long as you get that spot behind the ears. Their shop is delightful, with home made products, and products imported from France. I got both. The grounds themselves are so well kept and beautifully landscaped. Make sure to walk around the refurbished farm that is their wedding venue. If I were to get married again, I would want to do it here.

Then off on a 10k bike ride along the river to Paris, Ontario. There’s not much to do there, but it’s a fantastic sight – especially in those moments when it looks like the sky may open up into a wild storm. Always teetering on the edge but never delivering. A lunch and coffee, and back the 10k along the river to the car.

Then though the road may be back to reality, you can always take the scenic route, you never know what escarpments you might find.
