Do you ever find yourself with something that you loved, but you just aren’t wearing it as much as you thought? Sometimes yes, it’s a poor choice purchase, and should perhaps be donated or consigned. But sometimes, sometimes, a small alteration can have big consequences.
For example, I love this dress from Love Nail Tree, but found I wasn’t wearing it as much as I could, or wanted. I didn’t want to give it up, and finally it dawned on me: a comfortable tank dress in my mind, is a short throw on piece, not the long gown it was. So a cut and a hem, and right away I felt I could integrate this better.
Sometimes, a small change can have big impact. *and yes, I’m being intentionally metaphorical here*
Dress – Love Nail Tree

April 17, 2017Hi Allie,
Thanks! And I updated the post with a quick ‘before’ pic. It’s a great dress, but just wasn’t getting any wear at the long length 🙂
