I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Whether you celebrate it or not, I hope the last two days were full of laughs, love, and relaxing times. If you don’t celebrate it, I hope you did something for yourself – you know, treated yourself.
And today, happy sale day! I always ask for gift cards and cash because not only am I picky, and I like my Australian brands, but I also enjoy tracking down the bargain myself. Make that Christmas money really stretch often for months, you know? I love the idea that I save up that Christmas money and in March finally get that piece that I’ve been watching for months because it went on sale. That’s the real joy for me – the freedom to get what I want when it finally goes on sale.
A quick note on that: this sweater I bought from Turquiose Lane in Australia during their Winter *our Summer* because it was fabulous and went on their end of season sale. And even though it was about 40 degrees celsius here at the time and the idea of wearing a sweater was gross, I knew it was a great deal and it would be perfect for our Winter.
So regarding the sales? I already got a few things from Arnhem, and one dress from Le Salty Label. Can’t wait. Smiles all around. Now I’m going to have chocolate cake for breakfast with a cup of coffee. Why? ‘Cause it’s my birthday this week and I’m starting early.
Sweater – Jens Pirate Booty via Turquoise Lane
Leggings – H&M
Bag – ASOS

January 5, 2017Okay, here’s my thoughts………….I don’t know who you are or what you are about? I signed up to get your new postings and love them. I like that you state where you bought something. I don’t know how to layer clothes so I really like seeing how you put things together. I happen to live in the USA, (Northern California), in a very small town named Shingletown….how’s that for a name? Have a wonderful day today 🙂

January 5, 2017Hi Allie. Thanks for signing up – I appreciate the support. Hope you like future posts too. I’m all about layering – Canadian Winters demand it 🙂
I’m also all about the sales – sale on sale is the best – because as an artist I don’t have a huge budget to work with. And I refuse to go into credit card debt.
Anyway, here’s a bit more if you want to read:http://modamamablog.com/abou
And I look forward to hopefully hearing more thoughts 🙂
