The last bit of our packed day was a gorgeous boat ride through the mangroves. Andrew and I sat right up front, with a few other passengers, and our driver headed out at full speed into the mangroves – once there he slowed down to a nice crawl. It was truly stunning. The plants, and the water. They’re called the red mangroves because the water has a red hue to it if you look closely. And as we went along our driver would tell us about the plants and what color they bloom in the spring and summer. I can only imagine how glorious and colorful it is at that time.

Needless to say it was incredible. But here’s a funny story:

The driver put me, the girl in the ruffley clothes right up front, and did all he could to try and scare me *as a joke* which I didn’t really get until the end of the ride when a passenger approached me and remarked on it. First he pretended that there was a snake coming down on me. And instead of screaming, I turned around all curious and excited. He did a few things like that, ending off with running full speed at the dock and turning at the last second, which again, failed as it didn’t bother me one bit *it’s something I would do myself.*  Clearly, he picked the wrong girl. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, hey guys?

Outfit pics and details coming tomorrow!
