Normally, up at the cabin, I do the regular trail run.

There and back it’s about 6km, which is less than my regular 10km, but it’s a wonderfully hilly and fun run. And plenty on a relaxing weekend. But in the Winter, it’s a, “No, Thank you!” from me. Instead, we both take our pup and walk to the main road, then the side road and back. It’s about 30 minutes to do it all, and once we turn back we let Drake off the leash. Why do we only let him off then? Because otherwise it’s too cold and he doesn’t want to go out at all! But once we turn back for home, we let him off and he run run runs all the way back to the cabin.

If only he could figure out how to open doors, he’d be all set.
