Today is a momentous day here on the site. For years, I haven’t shown my girl’s face, but today that’s changing. Andrew and I have thought about it, and we’ve both decided that we’ve loosened our grips on that.
She’s older, and we’ve gotten a bit more relaxed about it. I also thought about the wonderful people who’ve been reading this site for years, and wanted to show you the beauty that has been the center of all those crazy Mama stories and moments.
So here she is. In all her smarty-pants glory.

March 18, 2015Lovely picture! I've noticed in the past that you haven't shared pictures of her face but definitely understood it. I've always wondered what I would do if I wrote about any (future!) children on my blog, and I think I would share photos of their faces, but I guess you can't know until you're in the situation and you've really considered it all. Such a cheeky face she's pulling though – so nice to put a face to the stories!

March 18, 2015Yeah, previously it wasn't something we were comfortable with. We didn't want her face plastered all over the internet. And I also didn't want to exploit my child's cuteness for page views – which though not necessarily what is intended, is what it feels like to me with most other blogs. But so many loyal readers, and talks with my family, have caused us to loosen the reins a bit. You're not gonig to see her here a lot, but occassionaly.
And my family has also respected this choice, so they (until now) haven't posted any pictures of her on social media either. Though they would like to share their proud feelings. So that motivated us too. Now they too can share a picture once in a while.
So yeah, it's something we thought a lot about. And I'm happy to share the mastermind behind all of these silly events.
