The end of 2014. To be honest, I’m kind of glad it’s over today. The last year has been challenging *let’s use that word shall we* and though 2015 is not off to a great start, at least with the unknown there’s the possibility and the *dare I say* hope that things will change for the better.
One thing is nice, I’ve been working my way through the house slowly over the last few days, cleaning everything. I mean everything: washing walls, washing baseboards, moving all the furniture out of the way, emptying, cleaning, and sorting everything. And it feel so much better to walk through the areas of the house that have been done. They are as clean as when we moved into the house and it de-stresses me in a wonderful way.
New Year, clean start. Symbolic perhaps? Let’s hope.

December 31, 2014I love the light colors you put together for a winter look! I have a long white dress that I wasn't sure I could pull off in the winter, but after seeing your pictures I might give it a shot. Been cleaning here also. Happy New Year!

January 3, 2015Thanks. Oh white for winter is lovely I think. If you tone on tone it with beige, tan, pastels, and ivory – I think it can look so pretty.

January 2, 2015Cleaning can be very therapeutic. I have difficulties concentrating when my place is a mess (like right now!). So much more productive when my area is clean – clean space clear mind?
Hopefully 2015 gets better and the rough start was just a blip!

January 3, 2015Yes, but I HATE doing it 🙁 I too can't concentrate and work well in a mess, but I just so very much dislike doing it – especially since my standards are much higher than Andrews. Sometimes we hire a service just for the sake of our sanity.
