A Lazy Long Weekend

This weekend could have been a flurry of activity. But our family collectively decided against it. Canada Day was spent quietly in each other’s company being domestic during the day, and sharing some thoughts after our girl had gone to bed. The rest of the weekend was much of the same, with dog walks to the coffee shop and sharing a glass of vino with a good friend.

Pride came and so did Queen’s Plate. And I loved seeing the photos. But was also very thankful for the quiet that surrounded me. Just really felt that secluded, low-key energy.
