I sprained my ass. Yup, you read that right.
I went too hard and for too long on weights after not doing them for months after my surgery. And then it hurt. Then I continued doing it because I ignored the pain. Now, I have had to stop weights (only bodyweight) and slow down my running to give my body time to heal. My glutes and lower back have needed it, and slowly are recouping. I’m rolling, and stretching and strengthening, but let me tell ya, it’s a lot easier to break something than to fix it. There might be a lesson in that.
