Conversation recently that I had with my daughter about friends and relationships and boundaries.
The catalyst is not important, but we ended up having a conversation that other people are in no way responsible for your happiness. They are a part of your happiness but it is no one’s job to ‘make’ another person happy. Whether friends, colleagues, or romantic partners. It’s a hard note to follow – to realize that you are not responsible for another person’s happiness, nor are they responsible for yours.
Draw some boundaries, take some action.
