No! Our authentic selves are animals that are selfish and self-centered and dealing with our own hurt. Do NOT look inward for your course of action. Do NOT trust your first instincts. Instead, reflect upon what those you admire would do, what your ideal self would do. But for God’s sake do not trust your own narcissistic, selfish, childish self.
