“Regret requires admitting that you’ve done something wrong. People hate that. People can’t deal with the shame of making mistakes or of having been wrong, so they convince themselves that they have no regrets as a form of self-protection.” – ‘You’re Not That Great’ by Elan Gale

My regrets visit me right when I’m about to fall asleep….but the deeper ones come to me at 3:30 am when they decide it’s time for a niiiice long chat about my life choices and the state of the world. Even the illustrious Frank Sinatra sang, “Regrets….I’ve had a few…” And I know I’m not better than Frankie.
