I’m going to critique the whole ‘manifest’ thing right now.

Now, I don’t claim to be a modern philosopher: I don’t know the best way to live. So if ‘manifesting’ works for you, then I wish you joy. But I do want to offer the simple point that ‘manifesting,’ as it currently stands in our culture, is a decidedly privileged perspective. It implies that socio-economic status, race, and gender factors have no import and that the reason you’re in your situation is because you didn’t ‘manifest’ hard enough. I would argue that the millions of disenfranchised people as well as the millions of girls trafficked in North America are ‘manifesting’ for something better plenty hard. Our society is not a fair one, and sometimes those most worthy do not get an opportunity.

So again, if manifesting works for you, great! But do recognize that it is a luxury of the privileged.
