When you get a compliment “The same part of your brain lights up that lights up when you’re having sex.”
It releases dopamine. “Dopamine is also linked to addiction, though…compliments work like nicotine, at first giving you a thrill, but eventually making you totally dependent on them.” (From ‘You’re Not That Great’ by Elan Gale). So the trick is to learn to live without the need for them.
Or in the words of the great Princess Bride philosopher, “Get used to disappointment.”

January 12, 2021I pin up the sides, then do an upside down braid, tuck that in and pin in place. Might do a tutorial if that’s unclear 🙂
