Reframing TIFF

TIFF is always a crazy time. This time though, I’ve decided to take an intentional step back. All the years that I’ve done TIFF before, it was a hazy whirlwind of events, and screenings. Some of it enjoyable, but some of it feeling like an obligation. It felt like I had to be there or I wasn’t a serious member of the film making community. But this year the step back has allowed me to focus on my work, to reframe my desires, and to build energy for the coming projects. SO I’ve narrowed my focus to a few events, and some selective screenings.

It’s not my attendance at this events that marks me as a serious member of the community; it’s goal building and project develop. It’s about the work after all, not the parties.
