I Like A Little Surprise

When chatting with people and they surprise you, when you say something and you surprise them, I like that. I like that ability that people have inside when being honest and fun to surprise the other person. In a lighthearted or truthful way, of course, not in a mean way. It usually results in a laugh or in an unusual revelation which deepens a connection. I’m honored when someone says, “I’ve never told anyone this before.” That act of trust humbles me and touches me. It’s those nice surprises that I cherish.
