Soulmates? Do you believe in them? And if so, in what form?

I don’t necessarily think that there’s one perfect person out there that completes your soul and your job is to find them. I think we are capable of building a life, a partnership, with a variety of people. It just depends on what kind of life you want to build. Further, I don’t think soulmates are solely people you are romantically linked to. There are friends who understand me very well, and perhaps that’s because we just get each other, or perhaps it’s because our souls have journeyed in proximity. I’m actually not sure the conversation, other than for philosophical reasons, is productive. Whatever you believe, the reality is that you still have to do the work – on yourself, and on your relationship. You still have to show up and do the work – whether or not you’re with your soulmate.
